Privacy Policy
Consolly is sold in five languages. This document is published in English only: a legal text put through machine translation says something slightly different in every language, and you would have no way of knowing which version binds. Ask us about any part of it in your own language and we will answer in it.

This explains what we do with information when you use Consolly.
Consolly is responsible for it. Reach us at support@consolly.com.
Two different kinds of information
This distinction matters, so it comes first.
Your account information — your name, your email or username, your company name and country, and your subscription. We are responsible for this.
Your business data — your customers, your suppliers, your goods, your prices, your photographs, your documents. This is yours. We hold it so the software can work. We do not decide what to do with it; you do. In data protection language, you are the controller and we are the processor.
If your customers' details are in Consolly, your own privacy obligations to them still apply. We help you keep them; we do not replace them.
What we collect
When you sign up: your name, email address, company name and country.
When you use it: what you enter — orders, customers, suppliers, items, prices, payments, documents and photographs.
Automatically: the technical records any web service keeps — the address your request came from, the browser you used, the pages you opened, when. We use these to keep the service running and to find faults.
When you visit this website: we count the pages opened on www.consolly.com, so we know how many people come. No cookie is set and nothing is kept in your browser. We do not store your address or your browser details: they are turned into a one-way code that changes every day, which lets us tell one person reading three pages from three people reading one, and does nothing else and lasts no longer. No outside analytics company is involved, and nothing about your visit leaves our own servers.
When you contact us: what you write, and any screenshot you choose to attach.
We do not collect payment card details. Payments go to Lemon Squeezy, who act as merchant of record. We never see your card.
What we do with it
- Run the service and produce your documents.
- Take your subscription payment.
- Answer you when you ask for help — response time depends on your plan: 2 days on Starter, 1 day on Business, same day on Agency.
- Tell you about your account — a trial ending, a payment failing. These are not marketing and you cannot switch them off while you have an account.
- Keep the service secure, and find and fix faults.
- Meet the law.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train anything. We do not share it with other customers.
Who else processes it
We use other companies to run Consolly. Each gets only what it needs.
| Who | What for | What they hold |
|---|---|---|
| Our hosting provider, in Hong Kong | Running the service and storing your data | Everything you enter |
| Resend | Sending email | Your email address and the message |
| Lemon Squeezy | Taking payment | Your billing details, never seen by us |
We do not add a new one that touches your business data without saying so here.
Where your data lives
On servers in Hong Kong. If you are somewhere with rules about data leaving your country, this is the fact you need. Hosted on professionally managed cloud infrastructure with secure tenant separation and regular backups.
Backups are held in the same region, and one copy is held separately so a failure in one place does not lose everything.
Who at Consolly can see your business data
Nobody, unless you ask.
Each customer's data is separated from every other's, and that separation is enforced in the database, not by policy or good intentions. Our own staff do not browse customer accounts.
When you ask for help and we need to see something to answer, we will ask you first. If you send us a screenshot, we look at it to answer that question and nothing else.
Automated systems that help answer your questions can reach your conversation with us and cannot reach your orders, customers or prices.
How long we keep it
While you have an account. If you cancel, access continues through the billing period you have already paid for. After expiry, we keep your data so you can reactivate or export it. We do not delete it automatically. You can ask us to delete it at any time, and we will.
We keep the minimum the law requires us to keep for tax and accounting, which is about the payment rather than your business data.
Technical records are kept for a short period and then discarded. The count of pages opened on this website is kept for 400 days — long enough to compare a month with the same month a year ago — and it names nobody.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it in a particular way. You can also export it yourself from within the app at any time.
Ask at support@consolly.com and we will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Where you ask us to delete data your own customers rely on, we will tell you what that means before we do it.
Children
Consolly is business software. It is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect anything about children.
If something goes wrong
If data is lost or exposed in a way that is likely to harm you, we will tell you and any authority we must, without unnecessary delay, and we will say what happened rather than what sounds best.
Changes
We may update this. If a change matters we will tell you before it takes effect.
